This week, The Heart Beet reports with a sneak peek on some pretty cool holiday jewels. Mary Kent reveals some of her favorites that just might be added to your Christmas Wish List.
Happy holidays! Already? Time seriously flies when you're having fun. I was super lucky to be in Paris two weeks before Thanksgiving and am still recovering from a whirlwind trip of shopping, eating, and, of course, my favorite, pilgrimage-ing. But, that's a whole different Beet, one that I'll share next time. For now, this week's Beet is on some of my favorite jewels that I've made for the holidays. This season, I'm doing lots of gold. What's new? (hee hee) Of course, I'll do silver, but I really am a golden girl. Just like the looks of it better. Though, I admit, silver is starting to grow on me again. Anything you see in my jewels can be done in silver. I've got lots of pretty crosses on beaded, roped, or vintage chains. And, keys galore! I'm super into old keys at the moment. These were a hit at a party I went to in France and even sold a few on the spot to some very chic french ladies. The symbolism of the key runs deep. I'm feeling these keys are a great gift to give to anyone you love. Heart Key! Oh yeah! The Golden Celtic Knot has also been really popular and I've done a really neat one in Christmas colors. I gave one to my french mother while in Paris and she looked very uber-chic! I was pretty speechless. And, I'm making lots of fun earrings. I spent the afternoon making some really great cross earrings today for a fab lady to wear to a wedding. Yay!
