~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UnBEETable New Year's Resolutions ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eeeeeverybody is talking about New Year's Resolutions! Or, at least they should be! Have you picked that one part of your life that needs a bit of attention? Or, are you among the few who simply can not decide on what needs to change? Fear not! This week, The Weekly Beet brings you a list of resolutions for 2005 with the potential to last a lifetime.
Our list of resolutions comes from one of our favorite "it" books written by a man who we feel is pretty incredible. Awakening the Buddha Within is written by Lama Surya Das, the most highly trained American Lama in the Tibetan Tradition. The book is an amazing guide to accessing your highest potential. Lama Surya Das explains that we are all buddhas, capable of awakening to who we truly are in order to lead a life full of happiness, compassion, and balance. You don't have to be Buddhist by any means to enjoy his words of wisdom, love, and compassion. It is really for everyone!!
We pulled an excerpt from the book that we felt totally appropriate for the New Year!! If you haven't chosen a resolution, perhaps one or two of the following will strike your fancy:
- Pray
- Meditate
- Be Aware
- Practice Yoga
- Feel
- Breathe & Smile
- Relax - Enjoy - Laugh - Play
- Create & Envision
- Let go - Forgive - Accept
- Walk - Exercise - Move
- Work - Serve - Contribute
- Listen - Learn - Inquire
- Consider & Reflect
- Open Up - Expand - Include
- Lighten Up
- Dream
- Celebrate & Appreciate
- Give Thanks
- Evolve
- Love
- Simplify
- Surrender - Trust
- Be Born Anew
We chose Relax, Love, and Celebrate! Hope you found a resolution amongst this beautiful list. Print out the list and tape it to your computer as a daily reminder. Or, better yet, pass it on to yourloved ones and favorite friends. We hope 2005 brings you loads of Health, Happiness, and Love! Get ready! It REALLY is going to be an unBEETable year.
Don't miss a Beet. Next week, we report on the Beet of Palm Beach!
